Vincent "Jim" Malish, 78, of 4618 Helen, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday in a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Rices Crossing, he lived in Taylor before moving here 51 years ago. He owned and operated a farm southwest of Corpus Christi near Cabaniss Field. He was a member of the SPJST Lodge No. 56 for the past 52 years. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today in the Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon tomorrow in SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. E.G. Bartosch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Mathilde; one son, Raymond P. Malish, both of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Mrs. Pete Elzner Sr. of Taft; one sister, Mrs. Annie Kasper of Taylor; three brothers, John and Edward Malish of Granger and Joe Malish of Austin; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
