Lee W. JONES, aged 50, a well known and prosperous farmer living six miles south of Dublin, was shot and killed last Thursday night by his two sons, Robert and Charlie, aged 22 and 18 years respectively, the tragedy being the result of family troubles between deceased and his wife, the sons taking the part of their mother. The men were placed under arrest to await the action of the grand jury. Mrs. JONES, wife of the slain man, was not at home at the time of the tragedy, having gone to her daughter's home at Placid, in McCulloch county. The deceased has been a resident of the Dublin country for many years and was known as a reliable and trustworthy citizen in matters of financial consideration. He had been successful as a farmer, and for several years past had been preaching on various occasions as a minister of the Holiness faith. Besides his wife, who is a daughter of Capt. Allie BURNETT, of Dublin, he leaves a large family of children, as follows: Mrs. Nettie GURNEL, of Placid, McCulloch county; Mrs. Alva TACKETT, of near Edna Hill, this county; Robert, aged about twenty-two; Charlie, aged about eighteen; Jessie, aged about sixteen; Florence, about thirteen; June, about eleven years, and Willie and Baby Earl about five and two years respectively.
