Bio

Miss Sarah E. Hardy, daughter of brother and sister Alfred and Sarah Hardy was born in Macon County, Alabama on 10 December 1842 and died at her mother's residence in Cass County, Texas on 3 January 1861. She embraced religion in 1857 and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which she lived a consistent member. Born of deeply pious parent,s and surrounded from infancy by pious relatives and friends, her training was strictly Christian deportment and conversation. Her last illness of typhoid fever, was severe. J.E.J. Texas Christian Advocate May 9, 1861
