Bio

Dr. Billy Daniel of Calhoun died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at Tulane Medical Center following a brief illness. His funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Pastors Brian Canuteson and Cal Adams officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Friday evening. He is preceded in death by parents, James Ivan and Addie High Daniel, and mother-in-law Eloise Harrison Vigg. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra Vigg Daniel; son Patrick Daniel and wife, Patti; daughter Sherri McFadden and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Blake and Spencer Daniel, Olivia and Sydney McFadden; sister, Fran Daniel Kemper and husband, Royal; brother Robert Glenn Daniel and wife, Ina; sister-in-law, Dottie Moses and husband John Gerald; and numerous nephews and nieces. Pallbearers were John Smith, Pat Kelly, Bill Duncan, Mike Martin, Kim Dameron and Steve Sills. Honorary pallbearers were Pine Hills Men's Golf Association, and Pine Hills Senior Men's Golf Association. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
