obit: Daily Nonpareil, The (Council Bluffs, IA); March 24, 2007 Marie J. Collins, age 87, of Omaha, Neb., and formerly of Council Bluffs, passed away March 22, 2007, at her home. Marie was born August 10, 1919, in Bee, Neb., to the late Charles and Anna Navratil. She attended Romine School District #68, moved to Omaha in 1941 and worked at the Bomber Plant. Marie married Harland R. Collins in 1945 and to this union 3 children were born. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Collins Antiques in Council Bluffs. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Harland Collins in 2005; 5 sisters; and 1 brother. She is survived by her daughter, Michaeleen Peterson and husband, Eric, of Indianapolis, Ind.; sons, Harland Sam Collins of Council Bluffs, Jim Collins of Omaha; granddaughters, Laura Meisinger and husband, Pat, Jennifer Collins, Christina Collins; great grandchildren, Collin and Madalynn Meisinger all of Omaha. Graveside service and burial, Monday, 11:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends to meet Monday, 10:30 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home for the cortege to the cemetery.
