Charles Joseph Tydlacka was born 10 Jan 1884 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., TX to Josef Tydlacka and Frantiska Krupa. He was the third child of seven siblings (Joseph T. (1878-1950), Jerolym (1881-1903), Jindrich "Henry" E. (1887-1923), Rudolph J. (1889-1965), Marie Ann (1891-1970), Frantiska (1894-1894), and Stepan (1895-1923). Charles was a carpenter building the church tower at Rosenberg as well as several homes in the Rosenberg area. He also owned meat markets at Buckholtz and Taylor. He married Frantiska Anna Kolenovsky on 2 Aug 1904 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hostyn Hill/Live Oak Hill (near Ellinger). They had nine children: Jerome J. (1905-1978), Victor F. (1906-1979), Charles Jr. (1908-1908), Claudia A "Claudine" (1911-2002), Evelyn S. (1914-2000), Dominic C. (1917-1994), George E. (1919-2010), Thomas T. (1921-2003), and Helen F. (1925-2009). Charles died on 21 Feb 1937 at Taylor, Williamson Co., TX.
