Fort Bend Herald, May 30, 2024: Donna Marie (Zwahr) Britt, 61, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on May 22, 2024. She was born on September 18, 1962 to Lawrence Paul Zwahr and Allene Margie (Arnie) Zwahr. Donna had a passion for teaching and for service. She was an elementary school teacher for 38 years, 22 years at Needville Elementary and for 14 years at Wood Creek Elementary in Katy ISD. She was a 38-year member of the Alpha Delta Kappa teacher's sorority (Epsilon Upsilon chapter) where she served in numerous leadership positions and coordinated the annual ADK Breakfast With Santa event. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Church in Needville, Texas serving on numerous committees. Survivors include her mother, Allene Margie (Arnie) Zwahr; husband of 10 years, Steven Seth Britt of Sugar Land, Texas; brother, Bryan Zwahr of Needville, Texas; sister, Connie (Zwahr) Busch (husband, Daryl Busch) of Rio Rancho, NM; and brother, Craig Zwahr (Vicki Marsh) of Needville, Texas; sister-in-law, Shannon Britt of Lytle, Texas; nephew, Payton Pringle of San Marcos, Texas; sister-in-law, Sara (Lynn) Cobb (husband, Reverend Michael Cobb), and nephews, Grant Cobb and Ian Cobb, all of Moundville, Alabama; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins from throughout the Needville area and beyond. Donna is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Paul Zwahr; grandparents, Walter and Victoria Arnie; Paul and Mary Zwahr. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the Immanuel Evangelical Church in Needville, Texas 77461 at 10:00 A.M. following a burial at the Immanuel Evangelical Cemetery in Needville, Texas. Pallbearers are Dale (TC) Zwahr, Marc Bluda, Peyton Pringle, Michael Cobb, Scott Harris, and Paul Kidney. Tributes and words of condolence may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
