James Whitfield Sanders, a beloved father, grandfather, and Vietnam Veteran, passed away on May 1, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on October 31, 1948, in Henderson, [sic. Rusk] County, Tx, to Adell Loftin and Whitfield Sanders. James met and married the love of his life Jaye Lynn Green where they started their lives in Ennis, Tx. James had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved engaging in various activities with them, including playing cards, croquet, badminton, and ping pong. One of their cherished memories was playing hide-n-seek on his farm. James proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. His bravery and dedication will always be remembered. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his beloved wife, Jaye Lynn. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His loving nature and commitment to family will be remembered and cherished forever. In lieu of flowers the family asks to plant a tree in his remembrance. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
