Cecilia Ruby Jozwiak Lawhon, 89, of Bosqueville, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 at a local nursing home. She was the last surviving member of her family. She will be laid to rest beside her first husband, Pete Jozwiak. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Taylor with the Rev. James Hejl officiating. Visitation with friends will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Cecilia Ruby was born in Granger, Texas, to the late Jim and Frances (Stiba) Kropp. She loved animals and enjoyed visiting the zoo. She looked forward to rides in the car and also liked playing Bingo at the nursing home and believed, when the youth group would come to sing, they were performing mainly for her! Her friends will surely miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Pete Jozwiak, who died in 1974; and her second husband, Rufus Lawhon, who died in March of 2001.
