Ed Emil Kropp, 91, of Granger passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005, at the Georgetown Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at Providence Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at the Taylor City Cemetery with Rev. Albert Michalik officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery. Ed Kropp was born on April 27, 1914, to Vince and Frances (Stiba) Kropp. He was a hard working man and a "jack of all trades". He helped make home repairs on a lot of peoples homes around the Granger area. Ed was a member of the Granger Brethren Church and the SPJST Lodge #20. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Millie; five brothers; and three sisters. Ed is survived by his son, Dan Kropp and wife, Carrollyn, of Bryan; one granddaughter, Kathy Smith and husband, Scott, of Dallas; and two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Connor Smith, both of Dallas. The family of Ed Kropp would like to mention their appreciation for the friendship and caretaking that was provided by Johnnie Volek before he passed away.
