Troy O Miles completed his course in this life on Wednesday May 8, 2024, at the age of 82 years old. He was born on February 24,1942 in Wortham, Texas to Oel & Bessie Miles. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Oel O'Neal & Bessie Mae & Marcie Oliver (sister), He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Rev J W & Norma Holcomb of Bonham, Texas, sister in-law Linda Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Cathy Miles, sisters & family: Maxine Moore of Corsicana, Christine & Keith Howard of Dawson, Tommie & Tab Garth of Allen & brother-in-law Jerry Oliver (KJ) of Gun Barrel City. He is also survived by his children & family; Debbie & Lonnie Keele of Emhouse, Tim & Tina Miles of Barry, Robbie & Kipp Thomas of Barry, Lisa Weaver of Mansfield, Tammy & Joe Hood of Aubrey, Tony & Amber Taylor of Corsicana, sister in-laws; Sharron & James Hooper, Tanya & Rich Hooper, Brother in-law Tom & Joann Holcomb. Troy was also survived by numerous grandchildren, Devan & Steve Jenkins, Breann & Nolan Porter, Rusty Cofer, Jared Weaver, Cody Ryan, Alisha & Rick Martinez, Katilyn & Matt Montfort, Audrey & Riley Banks, Miles Weaver, JT Hood, Taylor Hood, Crystal & Steven Miles, Garrett Cofer, Ethan Taylor, Hailey Taylor, Trinity Taylor. Great grandchildren; Haley Lewis, Gracie Jenkins, Zander Porter, Zayden Porter, Braxton Jenkins, Rylee Cofer, Isaac Martinez, Dallas Montfort, Olivia Martinez, Rhyder Montfort, Laura Miles; also has great great grandchildren Everleigh & Myla Lewis. He also has numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, and they knew it. Pallbearers; Roy Cawthorn, Dale Gosser, Darren Oliver, Brent Gosser, Rusty Cofer, Steve Jenkins, Matt Montfort Honorary; Ethan Taylor, JT Hood, Jared Weaver, Cody Ryan, Miles Weaver Troy worked all his life for others, in the ministry, and in the construction business that he loved. He moved to Bonham in 1997 to help with the church after his father in-law passed away and eventually was lead pastor of the same church. Troy & Cathy pastored the church for 22 years. He poured his heart and his life to the church, he had a great vision for his church. Troy and Cathy built a brand-new church and completed it before they moved back to Corsicana to retire in 2019. He will be greatly missed by all his family & friends, and no one will ever replace his love, kindness & his heart of gold to his wife, kids & grandkids. Everyone that knew him, knew how good a man he was, if you knew him you loved him. He lived a Christian life and did his best to be a great example for others, leading many people to Christ. He loved to pray for people whether you thought you needed prayer or not. His favorite scripture was. 2 Timothy 4;7-8 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." Troy is alive and well today with his savior and redeemer, Jesus Christ, and all that has gone before him. He made it home. We all have the opportunity to see him again, but it takes a sincere walk with Jesus Christ to get there.
