Bio
Robert "Butch" Fitzgerald passed away to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 25, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 18, 1944, to Robert Amos "Gruder" Fitzgerald and Bertha Bristow Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda Fitzgerald; and son, James Kyle Fitzgerald. Butch retired in 2011. Since that time, he enjoyed working on his tractor, mowing, and being outside. In the past years he loved sitting on the back porch with Anne, watching the birds and wildlife. He was known as a legendary cattle hauler, loved working with his cows! One of his favorite things to watch on TV was a good Rodeo. Butch loved his family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Most of all, Butch knew Jesus and met him face to face on Thursday. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Anne Richardson Fitzgerald; daughter, Susan Layton, and husband Mark; son, Michael Bynum and wife Karen; sisters, LaDell Martin and husband Robert, Sue Wylie and husband Thomas; brother, Gary Fitzgerald and wife Kaye; grandchildren, Kennedy Ballow, Atlas Wolfheart ,Landon Bynum and wife Megan, Garen Bynum and wife Dee; great grandchildren, Elijah River McCullough, Stella Grace Bynum, Gage Bynum, and Aiden Bynum; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
