Data on the tombstone provides that Ruth was born about 1803. However, the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses suggest she was born about 1800 in Kentucky. Per Indiana marriage records, Ruth Clendennin (Clendenen) married John Armstrong on 1 Mar 1827 in Monroe County, Indiana. Her stone is beside that of J. Armstrong.
