Taylor Daily Press Carl William Wolbrueck Carl William Wolbrueck, 90, of Caldwell, Texas, died Monday, July 11, 2005, in a nursing home in Caldwell. Mr. Wolbrueck was born Dec. 31, 1914, in Jonah, the son of Ida Margaret (Kohler) and Carl Fredrich Wolbrueck. He was a lifetime resident of Granger, and was engaged in farming until his retirement. On Nov. 17, 1939, he was married to Lydia Balusek. He was a member of S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Granger. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arnold and Alvin. Survivors include his wife, Lydia Wolbrueck of Caldwell; two sons, James Wolbrueck and wife Pegi of Caldwell, Clarence Collin Wolbrueck and wife Darlene of Caldwell; a sister, Edna Strmiska of Taylor; six grandchildren, Randall, Janet, Jacqueline, Monica, Amy and Rusty; and eight great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with the Rev. Isidore Ndagizimana officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Taylor. Pallbearers are Benjamin Martinka, Ronald Wolbrueck, Randall Wolbrueck, Stephen Lefner, Kris Kosh, Andrew Miller and Kevin Mackal. Memorial contributions may be made to S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Condra Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
