Jerome "Jerry" Kowalski, age 69, died Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Genoa Community Hospital, LTC. Services are 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday from 3:00-5:00 also at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Bonaventure Cemetery at a later date. Jerome Kowalski was born May 25, 1954, in Columbus to Joseph and Stella (Zywiec) Kowalski. He attended school and graduated from Columbus High School. Jerry then went to work for Behlen Manufacturing, where he worked for most of his career until becoming disabled. He enjoyed animals, especially pigeons and other animals on the farm. Jerry also enjoyed gardening (especially his collection of cacti and house plants), crossword puzzles, collecting Indian artifacts and being outdoors. He is survived by: Son: Shaun Kowalski of Genoa, NE Son: Dustin (Monica) Kowalski of Bellevue, NE Son: Trent (Jessica) Kowalski of Battle Creek, NE Son: Andy Kowalski of Columbus, NE Grandchildren: Dakota (Christine), Bryanne (Caden), Austin, Colton, Makenzy, Dylan, Jasmine, Cheyanne and Landon One Great grandson with another on the way Several Nieces & Nephews He was preceded by: His parents Grandparents In-Laws
