The Bonham Daily Favorite, Bonham, Texas, Sunday, April 1, 1951, Page 10 "Mrs. Sallie Hix Interred Friday SAVOY - Final rites for Mrs. Sallie E. Hix, 74, who died at her home near Savoy Wednesday, were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Funderburk Funeral Chapel in Denison. The Rev. Ray Short conducted. Interment was in Bethany Cemetery. Mrs. Hix was born in Prentess, Miss., May 19, 1876, and was married in Sherman on July 14, 1904, to John I. HIx. Among survivors are her husband; a son, Luther Hix, Savoy; a daughter, Mrs. Jewel Stubbs, Sherman; a brother, George Moore, Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Enner Edwards, Sherman." ∼ Maternal connection courtesy of FaG Contributor: Marsha L.
