Bio

Dorothy McCurry, 87, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, in Richland Hills. Dorothy was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born on June 5, 1919, in Waco. She loved traveling and having fun. She retired from Bell Helicopter Textron and worked for the Northeast YMCA for many years. Dorothy loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and often commented on how blessed she was to be able to take an active part in their lives. A special thanks to Richland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center for their love and care to Dorothy and to Bridgeway Hospice for all the support for Dorothy and family. She was preceded in death by her only child, a son, Mike McCurry, in 2003; her parents, Elisha and Wilma Petty; and a sister, Corrine Sherry.
