Bio

Annie was married to her first husband, Frank Machu, in 1928 after he served in WWI in France. Frank died in 1937. Annie Korenek Machu married George Janksy on 14 August 1945 in Williamson County, Texas. Annie was born June 10, 1899 in Plum, Texas. She was the daughter of Martin and Rose (Hajek) Korenek. Annie was a member of the St Mary's Catholic Church, St Anne's Alter Society and the SPJST lodge of Taylor. She is survived by two step-daughters, three step-sons, 22 step-grandchildren and 20 step-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church and burial preceeded at the St. Mary's Cemetery. Additional information on Annie: she also has an empty tomb in the Machu Cemetery in Williamson County. The Machu Cemetery is where her first husband, Frank Machu was buried.
