Bio
Winnie O'Dessa Barnett passed away May 4, 2008, at the age of 94. She was married to her husband Horace Nathan Barnett for 55 years and was also retired from Austin State School. She is preceded in death by her husband Horace Nathan Barnett, one grandson Scott Moehnke, parents Alvin and Viola Turnipseed, brothers Elmer, Phillip, and Harold Turnipseed, one sister Frances Jackson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Janell and Andrew Moehnke of Little River, grandson James Arthur Moehnke of Temple, granddaughter Janis Ann Moehnke of Temple, great-granddaughter Samantha Renee Moehnke of Little River, sisters Dorothy Edwards, Leona Daughtry of Elgin, and Mary Sherman of Georgetown. Brothers Howard Turnipseed of Huffman, TX and Doyle Ray Turnipseed of Mc Dade, TX. Several nieces and nephews and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Service will be on Friday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home Burial is to follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, TX.
