Graveside services for Ronnie Marek will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. Stephen Davenport will officiate. There will be no visitation. Ronnie Robert Marek was born on August 2, 1950, in Waco, Texas and passed from his earthly dwelling on March 3, 2024. Ronnie was the son of Jerry Robert Marek and Louise Vanek Marek. He lived in Abbot, TX until age three when his family moved to Mart, TX. He spent the rest of his childhood growing up there. Ronnie married his wife of 52 years, Helen Hull, in June of 1971. He worked at numerous jobs until he went to work for Burlington Northern in 1973. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Marek and Louise Marek. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marek of Teague; sister, Terry Marek of Marlin; daughter, Jeri Gore and husband Greg of Teague; son, Jim Marek and wife Brenda of Magnolia; granddaughter, Kristen Davenport and husband Stephen; two grandsons, Colton Gore and wife Whitney, and Cason Gore; great-grandson Deacon Davenport; and brother-in-law, Charlie Hull and wife Sue all of Teague, TX. Ronnie loved to vacation in the Texas Hill Country, especially Fredericksburg, and deer hunting with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freestone Baptist Church 738 FM 80 S, Teague, Texas 75860 or church of your choice.
