Obituary Gonzales Inquirer June 30, 1966 Ellis Rites Waelder—Funeral services were held Saturday, June 25, atthe Cooks Funeral Chapeli Austin at 10 o'clock followed by graveside service and interment in the Elm Grove cemetery at Elm Grove for Mr. Charlie W. (Bud) Ellis, age 68. Mr. Ellis died while visiting a daughter in Amarillo, June 22, 1966. The body was returned to Austin where for the past years he had made his home. He was born in Gonzales county September 16, 1808 the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Ellis. The family made their home for many years in the Elm Grove community. Survivors include his wife Mrs.Ruth Ellis of Austin, one step daughter, MrsCharlie Neil of Amarillo, one sister, Mrs. George Beale of Gonzales, five brothers, George, Frank, Louis, Fred and Willie Ray (Dick) Ellis all of Houston and a host of nieces and nephews.
