George Albert Ellis was a retired general business proprietor, per his death certificate. He was a former resident of Waelder and a resident of Houston for 50 years. He was a member of Elks Lodge and Sons of Hermann. He was survived by his wife, Mrs Gladys Ellis; daughter, Mrs Nora Wartemen; son; Don Ellis [George Donald Ellis], all of Houston; sister, Mrs George Beale of Gonzales; brothers, Frank, Lewis, Fred and Dick Ellia, all of Houston; eight grandchildren; other relatives. From obituary, Houston Chronicle, Thursday, September 15, 1966, Section 5 , Page 7 ___________________ George Albert Ellis married Miss Gladys Vera Latham from Marble Falls, Texas, on 21 Aug 1926 in Houston After his death, his widow Mrs Gladys Vera Ellis married George C. Wooding on 21 May 1980 in Houston.
