Bio

A lifetime resident of Wallis. Bessie Kosik, age 94, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was born on January 19, 1930 to Andrew and Rosalie Kosik. She graduated from Wallis High School. Bessie loved gardening, canning, and sewing. Her favorite thing was making pies for bingo; everyone loved her pies. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and the KJZT. Preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sal Kosik; sister, Alice Vavricka; and nephews, Eric and Dennis Kosik. Survived by nieces and nephews, Cathy Reach, Ed Vavricka and wife, Sherri, Linda Rummel, Kenneth Kosik, Travis Kosik and wife, Brenda; great-nieces and nephews, Lance Vavricka, Raymond Kosik, Leslie Buckmaster; great-great-nieces and nephews, Caroline and Shane Vavricka, Gavin Kosik, and Reesie Buckmaster. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5518 Demel Street, Wallis, TX, followed by a rosary at 12:30 PM and a funeral mass at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Knesek & Sons Funeral Home, Wallis.
