Bio
Lydia Fiala, 87, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Friday, May 22, 1998, at Orangewood Community Health Care Center in Phoenix. Mrs. Fiala was born Feb. 6, 1911 in Prague to Frank and Frances (Palensky) Kaspar. She graduated from Prague High School. She was a beautician. She married Adolph Fiala. They lived in Abie where they managed a tavern. They later moved to Seward and then to Beatrice. Following the death of her husband, she moved to Arizona in September of 1988. Survivors include one son, John of Phoenix; one granddaughter, Elissa of Phoenix; and one sister, Frances Deputy of Boise, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Frank Kaspar Jr. and Emil Kaspar; and one sister, Judith Vavrina. Private family services were held in Phoenix.
