Connie Bartling age 71, passed away in Norman, OK on January 8, 2024. She was born in Hopkinsville, KY on July 8, 1952, to Jerry and Agnes Skala. The family moved to Grand Island, NE a few years later. Connie graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1970. She married Martin Bartling May 15, 1971. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Connie enjoyed reading, attending sporting events, and playing cards with friends. After Martin passed away, she moved to Norman, OK to spend time with her grandsons. She attended all of their sporting events. Connie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kevin Finlay; her grandsons, Annan, Kade and Broderick Finlay, all of Norman OK; brothers, sisters, and spouses, Jim and (Kathy) Muhlbach, of Grand Island, Vern and (Anne) Muhlbach of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sheryl and (John) Haile of Grand Island, Michelle (Mike) Lindgren of Lincoln and Jan Wolford of Elkhorn, Eileen Tiede of La Vista, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Bartling; her son, Timothy Bartling; brother, Ronald Skala; father, Jerry Skala, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Rose Tiede, and mother and stepfather, Agnes and Kenneth Muhlbach. A memorial service for Connie will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S. Locust St. Grand Island, NE.)
