Bio

Son of Darling Brand and Matilda E. Earl. He married Minerva Ann Johnson in 1877. They had children Matilda "Tillie" Brand and Venus Edna Brand[married John Altos Orr]. James died age 38 years 8 months and 3 days. Their daughter Tillie is buried beside them. Minerva A. Johnson married 2) John Franklin Wilson. He is buried Hopeville Cemetery with his 1st wife Etta A. Palmer. Minerva does not have a stone but WPA lists her burial Gregg Cemetery.
