Bio

Born January 1, 1910 in York, Nebraska, died November 28, 1998 of heart failure in Glendale, California. Preceded in death by Carlesta Haston, his loving partner of 35 years. ("I chased him until he finally caught me!") Father of John, Mary Jo, David and Gary, whose mother, Elinor, passed away in 1988. A proud graduate of Fergus County High School of Lewistown, Montana, University of Nebraska, and U.S.C.; a chiropractor, a physicist, a teacher, a ballroom dancer, an avid fan of the ballet and Nebraska football. He stood 6'6" and weight 220 lbs. at 19 years of age, when he pitched for the Omaha Packers baseball team. His nickname at the time was "Never Hungry Guidinger." His passion of ideas, his search for new answers, his constant study of physics and philosophies, his collection of books, and his 1958 DeSoto Firedome convertible were his joys. Never a follower of the conventional, he relished in fine health and Montana sky. His ashes will be spread at sea in a private ceremony attended by family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Philosophical Research Society. Thanks For The Memories! —From the Los Angeles Times; Friday, January 1, 1999
