Simanek, 100, of Wahoo, NE, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Saunders Medical Center LTC in Wahoo, NE. She was born December 15, 1923 in Morse Bluff, NE to Amiel and Agnes (Kuber) Beranek. On May 2, 1944, Geri was married to Ernest C. Simanek in Fremont, NE. She was a member of Edensburg Lutheran Church in Malmo, NE. Geri enjoyed dancing with her husband and cooking. She is survived by her son, Gary (Penny) Simanek of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Adam, Amanda and Ashleigh Simanek; step-grandchildren, Paul, Ward and Lynn Robinson; brother, Dennis Beranek of Ashland, NE; many great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. Simanek; parents, Amiel and Agnes Beranek; sister, Adeline Odvody; brother, Amiel Beranek; sister-in-law, Lucille Beranek.
