Bio
Jennie Frances (Summers) Wollard Nunn was the daughter of James Adam Summers and Maud Bailey; all formerly of Woodbury, Cannon Co., TN; came to TX in Oct, 1920. Jennie married as her 1st husband, Alsa Ezra Wollard, (of Hill Co., TX) son of Moses Washington Wollard and Eliza Ann Elizabeth Babb, native Missourians. Jennie died of Alzheimer's Disease in Bellmead, (Waco) Texas; Alsa died May 23, 1958 in Belle Glade,Florida (of a heart attack suffered while on a job).By him, she had six (6) children, Maydie Lee who died at birth, James Luther, Ray Howard, Joyce Ann, Shirley Jean and Robert Glenn. The three boys are also deceased. Jennie married as her second husband, Samuel Arvil Nunn. She, Alsa and Arvil are buried alongside each other in Cooldige City Cemetery, Limestone Co., TX. Jennie never shirked responsibilites whether it was during the times she worked in a bomb plant during the war (WWII), working in the fields alongside her husband, Alsa,raising a young family after his death, working in a dry-good store, planning a family meal, church devotional,singing or a "42" party held at her home. She was hard working, caring, outgoing, and a friend to everyone. She was very much loved and is deeply missed.
