Bio

Mandy Jackson Robertson, 89, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005. Services will be at 11:30 Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Harold Horn officiating. Graveside services will be held in the Chapel at coolidge City Cemetery in Coolidge. Mandy was born in Woodbury, Tenn., to the late James Adam and Maude (Bailey) Summers. She moved to Texas with her family in 1920 and settled near the community of TK. She attended schools in the TK, Mount Calm and Hoen communities. She married Joe Jackson on June 1, 1934. They farmed in the Munger community and later worked at Blair Stubbs Funeral Home in Coolidge. She was a seamstress and sewed for many people in the central Texas area. She and Joe attended Hubbard Church of Christ. In 1989, she married R. M. Robertson. At the time of her death, she attended Northside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Jackson who died in 1982 and second husband, R. M. Robertson in April of 2001; brother, Roy Summers; and sisters, Lura Gann, Jennie Wollard Nunn and Adline Berry. Mrs. Robertson had no children but is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. WT: 10/12/2005
