Bio

Mildred Catherine Miksch, age 96, died December 16, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial is 9:30 am Wednesday, December 20 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. There will be a 3:00 pm CDA Rosary on Tuesday with visitation to follow until 5:30 pm, all at the Church. There will be a 5:30 pm Vigil service on Tuesday, also at the Church. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning at St. Isidore Catholic Church from 9:00 am until service time. Interment is in St. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in Platte Center Mildred was born on January 20, 1927 in Humphery, NE to John and Stella (Eisenmenger) Olmer. She was the fourth oldest of 11 children. She graduated from St. Francis Catholic High School in 1944. She married Arthur Miksch on August 29th, 1950 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Humphrey, NE. To this union five children were born. They lived and farmed northwest of Columbus, NE until retirement when they moved to Columbus. She loved gardening, flowers, embroidering and most of all, her children, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Columbus. She was a member of St. Isidore's Christian Mothers Society of and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She also served as a prayer partner of the St. Isidore prayer line.
