Bio
Funeral services for Mrs. Willie B. House of Springhill, were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 28, 1996, at Pleasant View Baptist Church. The Revs. Raymond Smith, and Kenneth Baggs officiated. Burial was in Prewitt's Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. House was born in Frost, Texas, on Aug. 21, 1922, to William Augusta Burnham, and Bertha Ebella Key Burnham. She died at Springhill Medical Center on Friday, Jan. 26. Survivors include her husband, Thomas M. House of Springhill; one son, Harvey Leon Burns of Jonesville; one daughter, Jackie Faye McPhail of Springhill; three sisters, Lilli Mae Lucas of New Waverly, Texas, Hannah Louise Jackson of Clyde, Texas, and Effie Marie Smith of Stamford, Texas; one brother, Thomas Elmo Burnham of Plainview, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Walley Holmsly, Ken Stevens, Mack Langston, Kent Charrier, Wayne Niver, and Robert McPhail.
