Joyce Sue Wash, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on December 11, 2023. Born on September 9, 1942, in Gouldbusk, TX, to James Wiley Gunn and Avalea Weeks Gunn. Joyce Sue Wash lived a fulfilling life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Joyce Sue Wash was a woman of ambition and tenacity. Throughout her life, she owned and operated several successful businesses, including restaurants and clothing stores, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering dedication. With her passion and determination, she inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams and never settle for less. Joyce Sue Wash will be lovingly remembered by her son, Chad Wash and wife Kellie; grandchildren Kinsey, Katie and Cade. Their memories together will forever be treasured. A Funeral Service honoring the life of Joyce Sue Wash will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Friends, family, and community members are invited to come together to celebrate Joyce Sue Wash's life and pay their final respects. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, December 15, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ambassadors of the Kingdom, PO Box 5704, Granbury, TX 76049. The family would like to give a special thanks to Interim Hospice and the Private caregivers that supported Joyce. Not only did they take care of her needs, but they also became friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her older sister Vonnie, her twin sister Janice and brother Ronald. Arrangements are entrusted to Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.
