Bio

Samuel Stone was the son of Samuel Theophilus Stone, Sr. and Mary Ann Chunn. Samuel was the husband of Sarah Narcissus Adeline Sawyer and they were the parents of 9 children; Sterling Eugene, Samuel Alice, Lula, Daisy, Mary Claud (Dollie), Beal, Birdie, Jessie Irene and Walter Raleigh Stone. Samuel was a private with Company B, 4th Texas Infantry, CSA, and was wounded, and out of action, at the Battle of Chicamauga sometime in mid-September 1864. He died at his home on East 17th Street of old age.
