SANFORD - William Troy "Bill" Boldin, 85, of 3825 Ponderosa Road, died Thursday (11/23/06) after a brief illness at his residence. He was born Aug 6, 1921 in Manning, Texas, son of the late William Thomas Boldin and Viola Lee Boldin. He spent 22 years in the US Army and served in World War II. He served with the 101st & 82nd Airborne Division. He raised chickens for 22 years after retiring from the Army. He was a member of Central Baptist Temple for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cora Mouberry Boldin; a step-son, Ray Mouberry and wife Kathy of Cameron; a son, Martin Boldin of Pearl, Miss.; a daughter, Shelia Kennedy and husband Jack of Bastrop, Texas; a brother, Don Boldin and wife Jean of Irving , Texas; sisters Louise Pemberton of Lindale, Texas and Wanda Elliott and husband Leo of West Tawarkora, Texas; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Temple with the Rev. Mike Oldham and the Rev. Bobby Chastain officiating. Burial will follow at Boldin and Mouberry Cemetery in Cameron with military rites.
