Roy D. Boldin age 88, a resident of Irving since 1954, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born October 10, 1926 to the late William Thomas Boldin and Viola Lee Havard Boldin, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Mary Jean Dering March 3, 1945 in Dallas. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. He was a member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Irving. Roy was a retired Certified Public Accountant. Survivors include his wife Jean of Irving; son, Roy Dewayne Boldin and wife Ginger of Sunnyvale; daughters, Donna Jean Hickson and husband Richard of Burleson and Debbie Tison and husband Robert of Hurst; sisters, Louise Pemberton of Lindale, Texas, Barbara Jean Macalusso and husband Luke of Mesquite, and Wanda Elliott and husband Leo of Tawakani; 6 grandchilren; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street in Irving. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
