He was born April 25, 1938 in Lehi, Utah to Harold and Vaudis Healey. Dad was proud to have served in the Navy for 20 years. He spent many of those years overseas where he enjoyed walking the deck at night to see the stars. He served three tours of duty during the Vietnam Conflict. He loved his children, all 10 of them, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a great love for his brothers as well. He had a great sense of humor and almost always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his loving children: Teri (Max), Jeep (Kim), Robyn (Vince), Rebecca (Jeff), Amy (Derek), Rachael, John (Cassie), James (Mandy), Nathan and Elizabeth; 28 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 brothers. Garne was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and one sister. In honor of his memory funeral services will be Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Hunter 14th Ward, 3450 South 6400 West, West Valley. A viewing will be prior to the funeral services from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment to follow the services Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Center in Garne's name.
