September 5, 1940 - November 6, 2023 A Celebration of Betty Sellers Life, age 83, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2pm on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be from 1pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Betty passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Rayburn Health and Rehab in Jasper, Texas. A native of Falkirk Scotland, Betty had been a resident of Jasper, Texas since 1979. She enjoyed knitting, taking care of her house, working in her yard and baking her "famous" pound cake. Betty loved walking in the city park, which she always said was her Heaven here on Earth. Betty is survived by her daughter, Wendy Sellers of Jasper, Texas, special niece, Michelle Elder and husband Gene of Kirbyville, Texas, her brothers-in-law, David Sellers of Mexia, Texas and Billy Williford of Jasper, Texas, her sister, Patricia McIntyre of Falkirk, Scotland, her grandson, Blake Sellers and her grand-nephews, Brady and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Cockburn, her husband of 45 years, Jim Sellers, her brother, Billy Cockburn and her sister, Irma Williford. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jasper Animal Shelter, 506 CR 296, Jasper, Texas 75951. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper, Texas ~
