Anna Lou London Lacy Slovacek, 90, of Greenville, Texas, left us on the morning of October 14, 2023. Anna was born to Roma Jackson and Reagan London on January 28, 1933, in Wolfe City, Texas. Anna was one of 13 children. She attended grade school in Leonard and Bailey, before attending high school in Wolfe City where she was a star basketball player and graduated in 1950. On July 29, 1950, she married Robert E. Lacy, and together they had three children. She and Robert moved to Greenville and opened their own dry-cleaning business on Lee St. in the spring of 1957. After Robert passed away, Anna sold the dry-cleaning business. In 1980, she met and married Frank Slovacek. They moved to Quinlan, Texas, and enjoyed their time together until Frank's passing in 1986. Anna moved back to Greenville in 1990, where she enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for her loved ones. She also loved yard work and even earned "Yard of Distinction" for her beautiful yard. Anna is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wood and husband Paul; sister, Wanda Beane of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: Wendy Wood Jaco and husband Jeff, Paige Wood Jordan, Chris Lacy and wife Kristi, Cody Lacy and wife Emily, Tiffany Turner Freezel and husband Scott, and Travis Turner and wife Brittni; and 17 great-grandchildren.
