Howard E. "Butch" Brandt passed from this life October 15, 2023. He was born October 23, 1937 in Moore, Oklahoma to Christopher Adam Brandt and Helen Molly Brandt (Loeffelholz). Butch grew up in Moore and attended Moore schools. He was a farmer during his childhood and teenage years and then went into Trailer Mechanics and during the Oklahoma State Fair he operated the search lights. He did this for many years and ultimately retired from both. He married the love of his life, Doris Brandt, on September 2, 1961. They were blessed with 44 years of marriage prior to Doris passing on November 1, 2005. Later in life, Butch and Doris owned and operated the bar his mom and dad opened in June of 1963, which they renamed "Brandts Riverbottom Bar". There were many wonderful, fun memories made there over the years. Butch was an avid fishermen and hunter. He also loved garage sales, pawn shops, swap meets and going to the Casino. He was passionate about bikes as well. Although he never had his own bike, he was a proud supporter of the Wind and Fire MC. Above all, Butch loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Christopher and Helen Brandt; his loving wife, Doris Brandt; brother, Clifford Brandt; sister, Ester Gilbreath; and his grandson, David Emo.
