Vicky Fine, 78, of Enders, passed away October 7, 2023 at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. Vicky Eden Dunbar was born on August 16, 1945 to LD and Inez Dunbar in Loup City, Nebraska. She attended Loup County High School, graduating in 1964. Vicky graduated from the Kearney State College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. On April 5, 1969, Vicky married Loran Fine. They were blessed with three children. The family eventually settled near Enders, with Vicky teaching at Chase County Schools. In 2009, Vicky retired after more than 33 years of teaching. She enjoyed sewing and genealogy and she preserved extensive family history and stories. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, LD and Inez Dunbar; and sisters Carol Webster and Evelyn Peterson. Survivors include her husband; three children; two siblings; six grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to be used to honor Vicky. Condolences may be shared at www.liewerfuneralhome.com. Cremation was chosen and a services will be held at a later date. Liewer Funeral Home of Imperial is in charge of arrangements.
