Carrie Odelene "Rosie" Barron, age 84 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Barron was born January 11, 1930 in Limestone County to Thomas Odell Lovell and Lena Margaret Hadden Lovell. Services for Mrs. Barron are Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Charles Thompson officiating. She was a member of the Tanner Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Lena Lovell; husband, Winfred Barron, and daughter, Beth Barron; brothers, Bennie Lovell and Billy Lovell; and sister, Katharyn Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Daphne Hodges and husband, Marlin; sons, Freddy Barron and wife Debra, and Mike Barron and wife Tammy; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Delayne Ham and husband Tommy; and several nieces and nephews.
