Bio
Anna Marie Huebel (Kubes) was born July 21, 1941, in East Bernard, Texas. Anna was the second of nine children. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the age of 82. After graduating from high school, Anna was a nurse's aide at the hospital in LaGrange. During that time she met the love of her life, David Huebel. They married on May 7, 1967, and enjoyed 56 years together. After marrying David and moving to Austin, Anna began her career with Southwestern Bell. She retired after 40 years of service. Anna was a very devout Catholic. She loved her Lord and the church. Every morning and evening you would find Anna praying the rosary. She was known for making rosaries and leading the rosary at the church. Anna was preceded in death by her parents John and Albina (Dirba) Kubes. Her sister Judy Hartfield and her brothers August, Charles and Joseph Kubes also preceded her. Leaving behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband, David Huebel of Round Rock; her brothers John Kubes, Jr (Mary Ann), Daniel Kubes (Susan), Jerome Kubes (Patsy), C.W. Kubes (and friend Dee), and sister-in-law Lynette Kubes-Atkins. Anna will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 6:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Beck Funeral Home at 4765 Priem Lane in Pflugerville. Funeral mass will be at St. Williams Catholic Church in Round Rock on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery and Prayer Garden in Georgetown. Pallbearers will be Keith Harrison, Robert Mauck, Greg Kubes, Richard Nord, John Reictor and Ron Davis.
