Fort Bend Herald, February 14, 2017: Judy Kubes Hartfield, 77, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Rosenberg. She was born October 28, 1939 in Fayetteville to John and Albina Kubes. Judy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond and was a graduate of East Bernard High School. She retired after 30 years with the Richmond State School. Judy loved gardening, animals, and nature. Survivors include 2 children, Vincent Hartfield, Colleen Aitchison and husband, Thomas; brothers, Daniel Kubes and wife, Susan, Jerome Kubes and wife, Patsy, John Kubes and wife, Mary Ann, Sonny Kubes and friend, Dee; sister, Anna Huebel and husband, David; sister-in-law, Lynnette Kubes Atkins and husband, Tom; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Gregory, David Aitchison, Angie Baker, Sheila Hartfield, and Cody Hartfield; along with many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, August Hartfield; brothers, Charles, August, and Joe Kubes; and great-nephew, Jason Kubes. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, February 15, 2017, from 4-8 P.M., with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home.
