Bio
Terry Fecht, 63, of Hastings, formerly Grand Island, passed away on September 6, 2023 at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18th at 2 pm at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 17th from 5-7 pm, also at the funeral home. Terry was born on January 10, 1960 in Lexington, NE to Rudolph and Retha (Van Cleave) Fecht. Terry graduated from Ansley High School in 1978. Terry was married to Merna McAlevy, with whom he shared two children. After his divorce, he later was united in marriage to Mary Ann Volkl on June 20,1998, giving him a bonus son. Terry was a welder by trade, but in his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycles and motocross, hunting and fishing, and stamp collecting. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jessica (Mike) Baldwin of Lincoln, Peter (Sassy) Fecht of Grand Island; and step-son, Anthony Volkl of Shelby; five grandchildren; mother, Retha; brother, Roger (Lisa) Fecht; and sister, Lois Peisiger. Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; father; grandparents, brothers, Duane Fecht, Dave (Arvilla) Fecht; and brother-in-law, John Peisiger.
