Published in the Athens Review May 3, 1928 W.T. Williams, aged fifty-seven years, prominent farmer of the Cross Roads community died Sunday morning at a hospital in Palestine following an operation for appendicitis. He was a brother of Low Williams of Athens. He is survived by his widow and nine children. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Beck's Chapel. Mr. Williams was one of the substantial citizens of the county and enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He was well liked by his neighbors and will be greatly missed in the educational, religious and social activities of his community.
