Bio
Polly Lee passed away at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born on January 9 1934 in Laurel MS to James and Estelle Lee. Soon after moving to Pascagoula she met her husband of 66 years Jerry L. Lee. Together they founded Jerry Lee's Grocery in 1955. The business became an integral part of the community for 62 years. She was a strong woman that even while raising four children played a huge role in building the family business. Always willing to do any job necessary. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula for many years and also involved in many clubs and organizations. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Lee ; a son, Gary Lee; sisters, Shirley Pugh, Delma Lovett, Barbara Nell Lee, Delora Schumacher and Beatrice Tully; brothers, Ernest Lee and H.M. Lee. From her obituary published by The Sun Herald on Sep. 6, 2023.
