Bio
Robert E. King Sr., 77, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He was a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Rosinton. King was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He retired from the Baldwin County school system after more than 34 years. He was the principal at Rosinton and Daphne Elementary schools and taught at Robertsdale High School, where he later served as assistant principal. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Ellison King of Rosinton; three sons, Robert E. "Bob" King Jr., Bradley King and Byron King, all of Rosinton; two sisters, Althea Dunn and Laura Dekker, both of Bay Minette; and a brother, O.N. King Jr. of Bay Minette; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rosinton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike White officiating, followed by burial in Rosinton Methodist Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home of Robertsdale.
