HIGBEE NEWS (Randolph County MO)Friday, 20 Jan 1922, Vol 35, No 40 T. A. COMSTOCK DEAD Thomas Arad Comstock, one of Howard county's best known citizens residing in the Myers neighborhood, died at his home south of town Sunday, January 15, 1922, from tuberculosis, from which he had suffered for the past year. Deceased was born in Howard county on July 31, 1850, and had resided in the vicinity of his birth practically all of his life. He was married to Miss Margaret Perkins on December 26, 1871. They were the parents of seven children, two of whom died in infancy. Those surviving with the mother are: George, Lee and J. L. Comstock of Kansas City; Charles Comstock and Mrs. B. F. Kirby of Higbee. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters--Jesse and J. B. Comstock of Higbee; George W. Comstock of Moberly; Vandorn Comstock of Paris; Mrs. S. D. Proctor of Higbee and Mrs. Amanda Comstock of Moberly, besides eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, besides a host of friends. Interment was made at New Hope. Mr. Comstock was a good man and a good citizen and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his loved ones. Those from a distance to attend the funeral were Van Comstock and sons, Boie, Ira and Archie, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Comstock and son, Grover, of Paris; Herman Peters of Platte county, John Q.
