Helen Catherine (Oborny) Brack 85 of Weeping Water passed away peacefully in her home June 1, 2019. She was born August 2, 1933 in Timken KS the daughter of Frank A. and Ludmila E. (Stika) Oborny. Helen moved to Weeping Water in 1961, remaining there to raise her family. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Manley. Helen was always a hard worker, from raising her large gardens, canning and freezing it all, to baking Kolaches and pies. She had a love of cooking which took her to her dream of owning and running her own restaurant, The Dairy Sweet in Weeping Water Since April 1, 1978. Helen will be remembered most for her love of making homemade soups and pies to satisfy her second family, her longtime customers of whom she would call her friends. She is survived by Seven children Alvin (Shirley) Brack of Weeping Water, Karen Bauers,of Weeping Water, Brent (Nancy) Brack of Weeping Water, Kevin Brack of Weeping Water, Lynette (Albert) Lorenzo of Indiana, Christine (Vern) Westover of Weeping Water and Clyde Brack of Syracuse NE.; 16 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren. one brother John (Rita) Oborny of Timken KS, One Sister Florence (Marvin) Herman of Lacrosse KS Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and spouse Frank and Catherine Oborny, a son-in-law Kurtis Bauers.
